Summer Opportunity--BOA Student Leader

If you are a student with a passion for improving your community, Bank of America would like to help you turn that passion into action. They are looking for leaders who are high school juniors and seniors in the US. As a Student Leader, you will participate in:
  • An eight-week paid internship at a nonprofit/charitable organization
  • A week-long Student Leadership Summit in Washington, DC (July, 2010) to gain valuable civic, social and business leadership skills

As a Bank of America Student Leader, you will participate in an all-expense paid week-long Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. in July 2010. This leadership development program will provide you with valuable perspective on civic, social and business partnerships as positive forces of change within our communities. The Student Leadership Summit is directed by the Close Up Foundation http://www.closeup.org/ , the nation's leading civic education provider.

The combination of your summer internship experience at a nonprofit and leadership development through the Bank of America Student Leadership Summit will develop your skills and strengthen your understanding of how to build on your commitment to improving your community.

The application deadline is 2/17/2010!

Note from Mrs. Rigby: This program is in its third year! In the past, we have been lucky enough to have three Cab Calloway students selected to become Bank of America Student Leaders, one of which is a current senior, Ashley McNeill. All of my students, who have participated, just raved about the program and the valuable experience and knowledge they gained. If your child is interested in applying, I know Ashley is willing to answer any questions they may have.
